Mission One Crore Blood Donors
Usually, blood is collected in two ways; through blood donation camps conducted by various blood centres and voluntary blood donors who come to the blood centre and donate. “Mission One Crore Blood Donors” is our attempt to bring about a third way. This Mission, aims to build a national level database of voluntary blood donors who are willing to donate blood on an immediate basis in case of an urgent need of their blood group in their locality.

Brain child of our CEO, Dr. N.V. Sudha Kiran, this mission aims to build a country-wide network of One Crore voluntary blood donors who are willing to answer the call for emergency blood requirement near them. In order to do this, we are firstly rolling out forms to collect basic data such as area of the donor, their blood group, date of their last donation along with their consent to contact them in case of emergencies. Using the data collected, we are building a data base.
Then, in case one particular group of blood is not available in our blood banks or anywhere near a particular patient, then our team would use the data base to figure out people with the similar blood groups in the near by areas and contact them and ask if they could come and donate. Once the donor agrees to donate, our team will figure out the best possible way to collect blood from them and see to it that it reaches the patient in need, without compromising on the quality and time.
